Short CV:
1992: graduated magna cum laude in Electronic Engineering at Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" 1992: national degree for the professional qualification as Engineer 1992: membership of Engineering Order of Rome 1994: "Diploma di Specializzazione Superiore in Telecomunicazioni" at "Ministero delle Poste e delle Telecomunicazioni". 1996: Ph.D. in Applied Electromagnetism and Electrophysical Science at Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza” 1996: Post-doc fellowship by INFM (National Institute for Matter Physics) 1997: Second Post-doc fellowship by INFM (National Institute for Matter Physics). 1999: 2 years Post-doc fellowship in sector I0411 by Engineering Faculty of Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” From 2001 permanent position as Researcher in General Physics (FIS/01) at Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” 2011: National Abilitation to Associated Professor in General Physics (FIS/01) in July 2011 Research Activity The research activity of Roberto Li Voti is in the field of photothermal and photoacoustics techniques for nondestructive analysis of materials. These techniques have been developed in the laboratory of the Department at Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” during more than 20 years; in particular many devices have been designed, realised and optimized such for examples: photothermal deflection, photothermal deflection spectrometry, photothermal radiometric, photoacoustic devices. The research activity has been completed and enriched also working in foreign laboratories: 2002 and 2004: 4 months at Hokkaido University in Sapporo in the framework of the bilateral agreement CNR-JSPS on thermoelasticity of multilayers structures, 2005: 1 month at Hokkaido University Sapporo Japan, in the framework of a project funded by IKETANI foundation on the monitoring induced strain pulses by picosecond acoustics 2010: 1 month at Hokkaido University, Sapporo Japan, in the framework of a project funded by IKETANI foundation on the 2014: 1 month at Hokkaido University, Sapporo Japan, for studying nonreciprocal effects in the thermal conduction in solids He is author of more than 100 international review articles in the field of optics, photothermal and photoacoustics techniques Since 2003 he is Session Chair of the International Symposium on Thermophysical properties that is held at Boulder Colorado every 3 years. Since 2011 he is member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conferences on Photoacoustics and Photothermal Phenomena Since 2011 he is Guest Editor of the International Journal of Thermophysics He is Director of 3 editions of the “International Mediterranean Workshop on Photoacoustics and Photothermal Phenomena” held in Erice (Sicily) in 2010, 2012, and 2014, at the Ettore Majorana Foundation for Scientific Culture
