Short CV:
Vincent Laude graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Optique in 1990, with an engineering diploma in optics. He obtained a PhD in Physics from Université Paris-Sud (1994) and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches from Université de Franche-Comté (2002). He was a researcher specializing in optical signal processing at the Thomson-CSF Corporate Research Laboratories from 1995 to 1999, then a researcher at Thomson Microsonics in 2000, where he started studying the physics of surface acoustic wave devices. He joined the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in October 2000 and became a Principal Researcher in 2006. His research focuses on the propagation of elastic and acoustic waves in micro & nano structures, with a special emphasis on phononic crystals. He also studies enhanced elasto-optical interactions for strongly confined waves, especially in phoxonic crystals and fibers. He directed the LPMO research department of FEMTO-ST in 2006 and 2007, and then the Micro Nano Sciences & Systems (MN2S) research department until October 2009. He is presently a group leader in FEMTO-ST/MN2S. Vincent Laude has authored more than 85 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of IEEE and APS, and a member of the Technical Program Committee (Physical Acoustics group) of the International Ultrasonic Symposium.
