The AtMol roadmap will provide the main possible trends in the emerging R&D area of Atomic Scale Technologies over the next 10 to 15 years with applications in processors and memory architecture and fabrication.

This report will provide focus and accelerate progress in identified R&D directions for the ICT program, guide public research institutions keeping Europe at the forefront in research and also provide a valid source of guidance for the related industry.

A detailed report will be provided, both on the technological aspects and on the possible applications (strategic research objectives and technical needs, comparison with existing technologies, etc.). This document will therefore contribute to the initiative's impact assessment of results for research take-up and exploitation, to white papers for new research topics and future workprogrammes.
